Having taken this amazing journey and, now, having written about it, a friend has greatly encouraged me to start making some money on my efforts by moving my content to Medium.com and continuing to write there.
I dislike cluttering my blog with advertisements and affiliate links so, I've avoided those money making tactics for your sakes and mine.
Medium.com takes it's "partner program" fees and divides them among the partner's according to how often/long the author's content is read on it's site.
This is an appealing way of making money on my story as it directly reflects how you, the reader, value my content, writing skills, and willingness to be open and honest about my journeying. It has a certain integrity that is appealing to me.
If what I'm doing is as valuable and interesting as I think it is, it will be to other's as well and, simply by valuing my efforts through redirected reading (and sharing of my Medium.com posts to your social media audiences), I have an opportunity to be compensated.
